Re: The 14ers.com dogs
My hiking partner is Polar, a 4-year old wooly malamute. She was a stray that I adopted when I was working as a climbing guide in China. She's not exactly a 14ers dog, since I don't take her on 14ers due to the crowd. But she has climbed higher than most (if not all) of the 14ers dogs. I guess you can say she's a 17er dog. We mostly enjoy hiking less crowded trails and climbing 13ers from time to time.
Polar enjoying the summer.
Polar enjoying the winter.
Polar doing a little bit of class 3 scrambling in China.
Polar on top of the Haba Mountain in southwestern China (17,703 feet).

My border collie, Suti. She not only got 5 14ers and many many backpacking miles, but she flown on a hydroplane, scrambles like a rockstar, rode an airboat, kayaked, jetskied, and saw 2 space shuttle launches. She also got her own Facebook page. Yeah, I am obsessed with my dog She is 9 years old, and I really hope I will be just like her at that age - still rocking it. Pffftttt.

This is Anna keeping a eye out for the "bad guys" who never seem to show up.
Anna is now 13 and she has retired now from big mountains but she has about 20 or so 14ers under he belt. This is her retirement job

Gunnar (l) and Kodi - My two Norwegian Elkhounds that were my hiking partners and forever best friends. I took this pic on top of Mount Princeton almost 25 years ago. They probably did 20 or so 14ers with me and lots of 13ers. They've been gone for 17 years and I still miss them

Re: The 14ers.com dogs
Merlin is a aussie shepherd, blue heeler, catahoula, or blue merle border collie mix... who knows. He's about 1 year old. His first mountain.
He stopped to stare often at the view behind us
At the summit of Mt Elbert. He's a short haired dog and gets cold easily, but never tires. The softshell didn't seem to do much so I stuffed my puffy down jacket inside his and he wasn't shivering anymore

Sweet shot of Sophie, Ryan. Congrats to her on her peaks. Here's a little photo sequence (by Caleb Wray) of me giving Rainier a semi-spot/belay on that same peak back in 2009:

Re: The 14ers.com dogs
Reading the thread on Sawyer made me want to bump this back up. Here's to all our canine friends that hike and climb peaks with us and enrich our lives. Thought I'd share some more of our two dogs as well.
