Hi! I am curious which would be a good first 14er for my dog? He is an 8 year old German Shorthair and does a lot of shorter hikes with me. We live in Aspen so I am thinking Elbert or Massive.
Thanks!!
Mt. Elbert or Massive for dogs first?

Standard Mt Elbert trails. The shorter Massive trail is steeper and more rocky. The longer trail may be long for a first dog hike..
At this time of year bring lots of extra water for your dog. The snow melt streams are probably dry.

Please check the signs at the Elbert TH - your dog needs to be on a leash on the trail. Thanks!
