Delorme InReach Explorer

Post by Nelson »

I just got back from a 2 week trip in Colorado in which my new InReach worked flawlessly.

When I got back I charged my InReach and tried to turn it on. It would not power up at all. As I was preparing to contact Delorme (bye getting the IMEI number) I noticed "Reset instructions" on the back. I went through this procedure and the device restarted normally.

I post this experience so that if this happens to anyone else while out in the wild, you are aware that there is a reset procedure on the back of your device.

This has not happened with my Explorer. How low was your battery percentage before you charged it?
Thank you for the information.

never had any issues with mine. I wonder if delorme had any recent updates in their software that could have caused something like this?

The lowest I saw on the whole trip was 50%. I was recharging every couple of days.

I have not experienced this. I used it a few times in 2014. No use last year and will use it for the first time tomorrow for this year. Thanks for the heads up. Wife loves the piece of mind two-way texting and tracking offers.
