Don't look in the climbing community!!! All we are is Ego. (And, as an omniscient being, I should know!)

Welcome aboard!

Just to be clear, egos are fine with me. We all have them. But being ego-driven on the other hand, is lame. By ego-driven I mean guys like my coworker. Here's a convo we had this morning:

Ego-driven d-bag: I feel so strong today. I went running for the first time since moving to CO yesterday and I totally crushed it!!

Me: Oh that's cool! Good job. I love running, especially here.

E-D D-B: How far can you run? I ran about four miles in like 20 minutes.

Me: Oh I don't think I can run quite that fast. I'd say more like 3 miles in a half hour.

E-D D-B: Oh that's nothing man! You've lived here longer than me dude, time to step up your game.

Me: K.

Anyway I'm not judgmental in general, but I'm keenly aware of what motivates other people, and if your motivations are to feel like you're better than someone else, then you are lame. Every forum is packed with ego-driven people because forums allow people to "correct" other people and it gives them an anonymous way to show how much smarter or cooler or stronger or more experienced they are than other people. I've never seen more of that than when I was posting on a fishkeeping forum. Yikes! LOL

Anyway back to work. Thanks for the responses guys! :)

I love you.

Sarcasm or not, it's not even funny to post something like this. Not at this time. Reported.

Hi Evaunitross. You said that you hiked in the Black Canyon area last year. I accidently stumbled across that area also last year. I want to go back at some point and check it out. Look's awsome.

I'd invite you along on my adventures, but you would hold me back and not be able to match my pace because I am amazing at everything I do. Step up your game, and we will talk.

Not sure if I'll do more 14ers. The trip reports are too tiring.

Welcome aboard! I really want to know more about this fishkeeping forum. Was it all about being the biggest fish in a small pond? Need details!
