Mount Bancroft Conditions

Post by hikingmtn »

Anyone been up there lately? Thinking about doing the East Direct route this weekend if the wind isn't too terrible. How does it look? Thanks!

I was up there last weekend (the 23rd), and the wind was doing it's best to generate some hefty cornices on the ridge, so we turned around at the base. I'll see if I can get a pic or two uploaded tonight.
Still Here
been scared and battered. My hopes the wind done scattered. Snow has friz me, Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'-- But I don't care! I'm still here!

Thanks for the input! I imagine we'll go check it out Saturday morning and if it looks sketchy, we might do James Peak as a consolation prize. It looks like the wind should be relatively calm this weekend and not too cold. If you have a chance to get the pictures up, I'd love to check them out. Thanks again!
