Apache Snow Conditions
Has anyone been up in IPW lately? Wondering about conditions for Queens Way or Apache Couloir. Thinking about climbing one of them or ascending Apache Couloir and descending Queens Way this coming weekend but have not been in that area lately so I'm not sure what snow conditions I should expect in IPW currently. Thanks!

A couple friends just skied Apache on Sunday. Looks good!

Well I feel stupid! Serves me right assuming and not even looking at who responded (my only excuse is I'm on mobile at the moment and wasn't looking...).

Re: Apache Snow Conditions
My wife and I did exactly that on Sunday (6/29). Apache Couloir is still in good shape, with snow all the way to the top of the ridge (though it gets real soft in the upper couloir later in the day). Queen's Way is no longer connected quite all the way to the summit, but a short boulder hop puts you on solid snow, and once you are in Queens Way proper it's a fantastic plunge step or glissade all the way down.centrifuge wrote:Has anyone been up in IPW lately?
