Missing 13er
I do not see Colorado Mines Peak (near Berthoud Pass) in the list of 13ers available from one's profile page.

D'oh, because it's a 13er!jsf80238 wrote:I do not see Colorado Mines Peak (near Berthoud Pass) in the list of 13ers available from one's profile page.
Sorry for the noise.
Re: Missing 13er
But you could use a site like listsofjohn.com to keep track of all the peaks you hike and climb.

Looks like Bill missed the opportunity to get 12ers.com and someone is camping on it. All dreams are shattered...

Re: Missing 13er
I heard School of Mines just lost the naming right and it shall now be known as Sports Authority at Berthoud Pass Peak.

Re: Missing 13er
I know you're joking but I find myself suddenly concerned about a cash-strapped Forest Service doing exactly that in the future. With a private concessionaire to collect day-use/climbing fees...James Dziezynski wrote:I heard School of Mines just lost the naming right and it shall now be known as Sports Authority at Berthoud Pass Peak.

30 years later: "Turn left onto Bank of America Drive and proceed 3.4 miles to the Monsanto Trailhead. From the trailhead, follow the Exxon Mobil trail past the fracking operation to where it meets American Business Creek, cross the creek on the Samsung Bridge and hike carefully along American Democracy Trail, which is being rapidly eroded by the size and ferocity of the creek that has run unchecked for years (too big to control). As the trail moves away from the creek it becomes overgrown and difficult to find your way, so good luck. If you continue uphill, eventually you will reach the summit (brought to you by Carl's Jr.), where after paying your admission fee and providing a DNA sample, you can then purchase a donut. Across the 3M Valley you can admire the thoroughness of the removal of what was once Newmont Mining Peak."
