Congrats once again Eddie! It was certainly a fun peak to finish on :) Weather was great for us! Weminuche is hard to beat.

My name is Brad Dickerson & I'm new to this forum. Congrats on the bis finish. My friend Jeff Laube & I were the ones who put up that blue sling on the face of Peak 15. That was our high point. So my obvious question to you is, where the hell do you go from there? We returned for an attempt on 15 again Tues 9/1 and were turned back in the same place. I only need Peak 15 and Peak 6 to complete my bicentennial quest, but I'm quite discouraged w/ the difficulty of 15.

Hi Brad, thank you for leaving the sling! It really guided us well in the upper reaches of the mountain. Did you also leave some well placed cairns past the approach gully? We aimed for the blue sling you left and then I built an anchor just past it on a comfortable belay ledge. From there, I traversed right to what I think was probably Class 4 gully (maybe very low 5). The traverse to the gully was exposed (as they usually are), but very short. Amy soloed the route to the left of the belay ledge (above your sling), not sure about the rating there. I loved the climb and wouldn't mind doing it again if you guys need a hand. At 5.3 it's really not that bad. The sketchiest part for us was the 2nd crux in the approach gully, as it was wet and I didn't see many options for placing pro.

Thanks for the info! We free soloed all the way to that point. I would definitely be interested in 15 next year. My one drawback is my lack of experience in placing pro. Not sure if my friend Jeff would want to go back. I should say it was his sling, though we were together.
