To imagine a goal, a hard one, is one thing. We've all done it when we say "I'm gonna do that thing....." but alas time goes by and that "thing" remains undone.

To imagine a goal, a hard one, and follow through, with a sense of purpose that propels us forward....that is a trueness to self that goes beyond.

Thank you for showing us, and most importantly, showing yourself that our capacities and capabilities far exceed even our dreams.

Only breaking a "few" speed limits, I was able to make it to the Longs Peak Trailhead in time to see Rob to congratulate him and meet a bigger slice of his crew. It was great to see Andrew, Natalie, Andrea and the Hamilton crew there too.

I have his time at 70 days 6 hours and 19 minutes:
Start 6:25 am 7/1/2016 at the 4-way on Culebra
Finish 12:44 pm 9/9/2016 at Longs Peak Trailhead
105 peaks Self-Powered

WHAT AN AMAZING DISPLAY OF PERSERVERENCE!

Although I expect there will be contenders to better this record, Rob will always be the first to top all 100 "Centennial" Peaks plus the five unranked but named 14ers in Colorado Self-Powered. When I saw him at Kite Lake a week ago, he had something like 1800 miles on his Delorme. I haven't been able to track his distance or vertical gain; maybe he can share that with us after he takes a long nap.

Congratulations Rob!

This is undoubtedly a genuine test in human will and stamina. A big congratulations for Rob and his crew is well deserved. Yes, like Glenmiz mentioned, let's not forget about the purpose of this accomplishment.

Congrats Rob! When you started I had a good feeling about your chances because of how well you prepared and how fit you were. I am so glad it all worked out and you were able to achieve such a big goal. My only regret is that I wasn't really able to help you out at all. Big kudos to all of your friends who came through for you!
