Looking for a good warm up hike this weekend. Thoughts?

Post by sigepnader »

Hello!

I am looking for a nice class 1/2 hike for Saturday and Sunday. I have some more strenuous peaks later in the week so not wanting to do too much.

Which of these would you recommend?

1. Weston/Ptarmigan

2. Loveland/Buckskin

3. Sheridan

4. Kuss/Mosquito/Treasurevault (Heard the road isn't as 2wd friendly as stated.)

5. Another choice.

I'll have a crossover SUV so I would like to keep the road decent since it is a rental. I've been up Berthoud/Loveland Passes and hiked those peaks as well as the 14ers by Kite Lake.

If that's the area you'll be in, check out Horseshoe.
