My Zion trip

Postby mtn_nut » Sat Mar 16, 2013 6:21 pm

i know this isn't mountaineering related, but i am pretty proud of this. I wrote up my trip to Zion last august, and it was published yesterday.

let me know what you think.

Very cool trip report. Definitely piqued my interest in the Narrows!

PS: I dont understand why there are upscale clientele at every NP. Even if I am not hiking, I'm dirtbagging there and I don't need the snobbish look from these fellas :P

The Zion Lodge is a very nice hotel inside the main canyon, so i get that most of their customers are going be upscale. As a note, its funny that the Zion Lodge has been the only restaurant that I've actually been to that uses the equipment that i design as an engineer, mostly because what i design is pretty expensive. :-D

Thanks!

I'm actually having another article or two published in the next issue that should be out in the next week or so. It's a bit more mountaineering related too. :)

yes, the Narrows is a fun hike & experience...there is another slot canyon not too far away called The Subway...I've done both, and I like The Subway better...here's a web site that details The Subway...

That one is on my list of canyons to see in Zion next time I'm there. Maybe in a few years I'll get to it. There are just too many cool things to see in Zion.
