Snow/Ice/Winter

In light of the recent blast of heavy snow, I thought this topic might be appealing. Here's a trio to start things off:

Gorgeous photos, as usual ... and funny, I was just wondering when I was out hiking on Sunday and looking at the snowy peaks around here whether you were going to start a thread along these lines. Can't wait to see everyone's cool winter shots.

Thanks, Jenn. I think we would all love to see some snowy shots from your neck of the woods. 8) I've only been down to the San Juans in winter once......it was great to see those incredible peaks in a totally different way.

Thought this might be a good time to bump this topic......here's a shot from Green Mountain Reservoir that was the predecessor to the first photo on the page. As the snowy months progress, I would love to see some shots of 14ers from all the snowshoers/skiers!
