Hey, I'd like to hike that 12er over there. Pretty area. Just did Rosalie a couple weekends back. I'd also like to try that big sucker in Canada someday. That's going to take a tad more experience, training, and moulah.Mountainspirit wrote:smoove wrote:Ha. Didn't know there was a Mt. Logan over there. Yeah, different Mt. Logan. Slightly different.
Silly me - and here I got all excited about some one wanting to climb a 12er in Park County.

Most folks liken the Kings Trench to the West Butt on Denali --- only longer, colder, and with no people. Climbers routinely spend a week or more in their tents at any given time and folks going light and fast have been known to spend up to two weeks holed down in a tent/snowcave. For most mortals, it's a four week trip.I Man wrote:To be clear....We are talking Mt Logan in BC (19,511')
I Man - 19,551. Yukon, not BC.
Ahhh - Hummingbird....If I'm ever tired of life...you'll know where to find me
Rupal face in winter might be good too.
Nice summary there Fletch.

This Classic route has only seen one ascent, back in the 60's. It has killed many climbers since.wildlobo71 wrote:In the library staring at books on Yukon mountains, no doubt...I Man wrote:

You can touch the void, just don't fall into it.
I fly a starship across the universe divide....and when I reach the other side...I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can. Perhaps I may become a Mountain Man again.
