Pennsylvania Mountain

Post by jsdratm »

I was looking at doing Pennsylvania Mountain from the southeast side and found BobbyFinn's directions in his trip report (http://www.14ers.com/php14ers/triprepor ... m=tripuser), but I saw on my TI map that the mountain is mostly brown, indicating private property. Furthermore, I saw that the route page was deleted from SummitPost. I was wondering if it is still safe to go up there via Mountain View Road or if I will be shot at and run out of town. :) Also, does anyone know how rough the road is to get up there? Will my 2WD Toyota Matrix make it to the end of Mountain View Road?

I climbed it this spring and didn't run into any private property signs at all. Just stayed left.

Road is easy 2wd to the TH, IMO.

I did it yesterday after London. Crossed American Flats to get there.
