Everest 2 billion pixels

The link takes you to a pic of Everest. When you click on the pic, you then have the ability to zoom in and out and around the pic. If you zoom down to the base of the glacier, you can see all the base camps set up.

Sure puts the size in perspective!

It is hard to believe how many camps are near the glacier. I know that Everest is crowded but wow....

It's in Lukla, the gateway to Mt Everest. Just took this photo a few days ago.

It is hard to believe how many camps are near the glacier. I know that Everest is crowded but wow....


It's only crowded for a few weeks a year. It's completely deserted most of the year as it was when we just visited. It was much cleaner than expected as well, which only a few posters and prayer flags scattered about. It has really been cleaned up in recent years.
I'm slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.
