Chucks? As if. Spatula if you haven't figured out the mountain hierarchy yet it is all about looking good (especially on those winter climbs). The most important things in mountaineering are 1) FASHION 2) accomplishing your goal at any cost and 3) safety. Chucks may get you to the top but you need to summit in style. May I suggest some more fetching mountaineering footwear: http://www.zappos.com/ugg-classic-short ... t-chestnut" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rent Vertical Limit, Cliffhanger and K2! That's all you need to know about climbing in Colorado.
Catchy saying from someone famous.

Qandery is just south of Beckenridge.

Am I the only guy that doesn't know what "Chucks" are?

I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

I usually pass up the Chucks for the Bills, Freds, or Marys.

They are flat bottom converse sneakers. I have seen them primarily in weightlifting
To climb is to push yourself in a way you might not normally imagine is possible. If your stamina, skill, and luck are sound you will get to stand on top. ... I realized that with climbing, I'd found something that nourished my soul and could forge me into a better version myself - Jim Davidson

Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars? I'm 33 and now I feel old, seeing as some have not seen or heard of these canvass wonders for the feet. Sad day, sad day. Grab a photo of any hoops team from the 20's through 1970's and more than likely they'll be sporting a pair. An icon of American athletic apparel.... sure. Footwear for hiking....may as well borrow my Sanuks.
