Trip Report Formatting
More trip report enhancements
We can now resize and float images in trip reports. If your report has a lot of text and you'd like to float images left or right, you can use the FLOAT LEFT/RIGHT buttons which will wrap report text around the image and provide an "article" look. Since the default display width of uploaded images is 800 pixels, you may want to also use the new image size property when floating images. Simply add "=width" inside the start of an IMG tag and the image size will be adjusted on the final trip report. Check out the sample trip report, which includes a view of the source text and tags, plus the images below.

Bill, this will be a welcome addition! It was the one thing that I DID like about the TR page on the old FW.
Thank you!!!

Re: New Trip Report Formatting
I've already received an email asking why I'm not using a text editor plug-in like what's used on summitpost and other sites so hopefully I can save people the time of emailing me, by posting my answer now...
I try to use canned plug-ins and not reinvent the wheel when I can, but this time it would have required too much customization due to the way the TR images are attached and a few other things. Since these plug-ins often release updates, I didn't want to have to re-apply and test that customization each time a new plug-in version was released.

Re: Trip Report Formatting
Bill, I like your example tr with the exception of the text. I can't understand any of it! :')
Nice work, and I think it's a great addition to the formatting options!

Does this new feature include an automatic Latin translator?

Re: Trip Report Formatting
Bill, I'm not sure if it's a user error or something with the new formatting, but the recent Orizaba tr has some photos with the bottom frames overlapping text in the report.

Yup, it's because I'm currently implementing some other stuff (bulleted lists). I'll have it back to normal soon.
Thanks!

Re: Trip Report Formatting
Should be all set, including the addition of bulleted lists to the TR Add/Edit pages.

Re: Trip Report Formatting
If you're seeing tiny, improperly-sized photos on some trip reports, it could be that you're using the Safari browser, which is not displaying photos with border/captions properly. I'll try to fix that tomorrow.
sorry
