How much snow did they get from the last storm? Anyone been down there recently or live down there that could give a conditions report?

Poncha Springs got A LOT of snow from what I saw a couple of days ago, more than anywhere between Crested butte and Summit cty. So I'd guess there's a lot...

On US 285 last Saturday, the ground was snow-covered from just south of Poncha Pass to just north of Red Hill Pass. The northern Sangres were very white on west-facing slopes. This quality persisted down south past the Culebras as well.

I would guess the mild weather may change the appearances of these peaks fairly quickly though. Apparently no storms in the near future.

The South Colony station at 10,800 peaked at just under two feet of snow at month-end, with low temps near zero. The last few warm days have melted off about half of that. Here are a couple of links to check status. The web cam is located about ten miles north of Westcliffe. Still plenty of snow on the ground in the valley and surrounding hills.
