On US 285 last Saturday, the ground was snow-covered from just south of Poncha Pass to just north of Red Hill Pass. The northern Sangres were very white on west-facing slopes. This quality persisted down south past the Culebras as well.
I would guess the mild weather may change the appearances of these peaks fairly quickly though. Apparently no storms in the near future.
