Sorry to steal the thread. Just wondering if I could get a few opions on some late spring, summer, into early fall mountaineering boots. I'm torn between La Sportiva Glaciers and La Sportiva Makalu's. Essentially it is full shank vs. half. Any opinions...

Depends upon how you will be using them. Will you be using automatic crampons?
