Re: Where is the SNOW!!!

I was pretty much in the area of Lover's Leap, Champagne Glades and the gladed area between the two lifts. Then when the bowls softened up, I was on Gengis, sun up bowl, and sun down bowl...
the snow blown into and below Lover's Leap was pretty damn nice considering

Where did you go? I was there 2 weeks ago and Blue Sky basin was absolutely obliterated. Overskied is an understatement. The Earl's Bowl side was just sun affected crud with some moguls, all chopped up but got softer in the afternoon. On the Pete's side it was pretty bad with Big Rock park full of small rocks (hit a bunch on the way down) and the funnel down to the lift being downright scary slick.

All of the back bowls were obliterated and getting quite thin in all aspects except the E-NE facing sides. So on the west sides of each bowl facing east coverage was ok. But snow quality was cut up crud all over with bumps.

Honestly I havent seen such snow destruction ever back there, it was nuts.

Yes at least the bowls were open during the holiday break unlike last year.

The frontside had good groomers. Best were Dealer's Choice on Game Creek Bowl and Northstar/Northwoods on the east side. Anything below say the bottom of the Avanti lift is pretty bad.

I'll be damned if I feel like I will ever know anything, but if we don't keep moving on that last hill, we'll never know what's on the other side.

Sarcasm or not, it's not even funny to post something like this. Not at this time. Reported.

5 inches at work this morning here in CO Springs! We needed it badly here, this storm doubled our season total to date on my golf course.

50 inches in 48 hours over at Silverton Mountain per Chris Tomer

No kidding? Just down the hill from you at CCC (Country Club of CO), it looks like we have about an inch or maybe slightly more. But I haven't stepped outside yet. I like snow days! :)

I'm on the hill east of CCC, and we have at least 4 inches (and still falling). Based on stratigraphic evidence, it's all fallen since about 5 am (my newspapers were under all the snow :)).

I guess I better take a step outside for a dose of reality! Definitely not working today though! Thank you snow gods.
