Yes, I thought it was very good. I even bought my son a copy about 10 years ago, and he liked it too (and has managed not to get killed in the wilderness).
I've read two of Ghiglieri's "Death" books also, and I found the Grand Canyon one to be pretty fascinating. Apparently a lot of last words there are "watch this" or "take my picture on the edge".

Sorry this is off the original topic, but speaking of the Grand Canyon and excellent decision making, you made me remember this set of photos (safe for work), which was posted in the backcountry office when I was there in 2010.
