I was up S. Boulder Pk & Bear Pk today, and took a couple flower photos in the burn zone of S. Boulder Peak from last year's fire:

Here is an update on the flower situation after a several day trip up there -

Kebler Pass - Good.
W. Brush Creek Road - Great, flowers all over the place.

Yankee Boy Basin - Crummy. And not only crummy, but every Wrangler in the state must have been up there. Admittedly, last week was not the ideal week for solitude. (I did see a Tahoe get high centered and need a tow to get moving again, the high point of that trip)

The San Juans in general - very dry, but if you find some soggy spots beneath slow melting snow fields, or small drainages, the flowers are really in bloom. A picture from a small drainage below.

Shrine Pass off of Vail Pass - Crummy. A few flowers here and there.

Massive numbers of wildflowers in the Crested Butte area over July 4, mainly yellow asters and bluebells. Cloumbine at treeline.
July 13 weekend is their official flower festival.
