This Privacy Policy explains in detail how 14ers.com (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", "14ers.com") and phpBB (hereinafter "phpBB software", "www.phpbb.com", "phpBB Group", "phpBB Teams") use any information collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter "your information"). This Privacy Policy is effective as of, and was lasted revised on June 1, 2022. We reserve the right to add to, delete from and/or otherwise change this Privacy Policy at any time in its sole and absolute discretion. 14ERS.COM WEBSITE & FORUM:
Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, by browsing 14ers.com will cause the phpBB software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer's web browser temporary files. The first two cookies just contain a user identifier and an anonymous session identifier, automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within 14ers.com and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience. We may also create cookies while browsing 14ers.com outside of the phpBB forum. Another way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: Posting in the forum after registering on 14ers.com, the posting of non-forum content such as trip reports, condition/status updates or route descriptions, posting of your peak checklist(s), posting of Gear Swap entries, and posting of photos.

14ERS.COM MOBILE APPS:
The iOS® and Android® mobile apps do not collect user information nor do they transmit user information off the device. Some functionality of the app does, however, require access to the following permissions when the user requests tracking on the map:
     Location: Precise Location
     Location: Background Location

While using the app, if you choose to show your location on the map, and subsequently request location tracking, you will be prompted to grant the appropriate permissions. No location information is transferred off of the device or shared with other entities.
