Wilmington vs Dover. What’s your opinion?
I’ve heard all kinds of varying stances - in Wilmington, you have easy access to the airport, and can easily check out Eagles and Phillies games. But in Dover, you’ve got NASCAR and can live in the capital.
What do you think? Discuss.

You need a poll to make this thread more interesting

I once knew a guy from Dover. First name Ben.

Maximizing my opportunities, i believe splitting the year between the two by seasons would allow me to truly enjoy all they have to offer. As the first state, how could anything #1 have a negative about it.

Wilmington. Access to the parks and trails of White Clay, Carpenter, Fair Hill, Brandywine, Elk Neck, etc.

Sounds like a guy I knew... Did he have a brother in Moorehead NC?

Agreed that both have lot to offer.
Dover if you prefer clean access to the shore and quick escape by ferry to southern NJ, where you can feel like a decent person again. Unless you are a corporation kind of person, then you should be incorporated in Dover but have offices and employees in any other state or country in the world.
Wilmington if you are suicidal and need easy access to carcinogens and being killed on the streets. Also, if you happen to like Philly you are as good as gone anyway.

If I've only been to Roy Rogers on I-95, does it still count as a Delaware visit? Isn't Roy Rogers the same thing as Arbys? If so, why is it Roy Rogers on the East Coast and Arbys on the West Coast? Does Wilmington or Dover have better access to the Delaware State HP? Is it a PITA getting from Wilmington to Reheboth Beach?

Good call, Tom. I know with a sensitive topic like Delaware, people might harangue, argue, belittle instead if I don't explicitly say "discuss".

Re: Wilmington vs Dover. What’s your opinion?
So far, the poll has indicated that people prefer neither Dover nor Wilmington; strange. Growing up, I always thought that Dover had an edge, but people on a Colorado mountain website seem to think that two places in Delaware don’t really matter
