Aconcagua
The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker

Tallest as of now: Pico de Orizaba

Most Prominent: guess depends on your definition of prominence (geological/topographical or vert climbing).
- could be Rainier, Orizaba, Whitney, Shasta, Mt Fuji, Mt Ruapehu

Outside the US: Orizaba for both.

Inside the US: Whitney for elevation, Rainier for prominence (or driving up Mauna Kea, for outside the lower 48)

Most prominent will be Haleakala. But we didn't do the sea to summit hike. I would love to go back and do that. It's an amazing and special place, definitely one of my favorite places in US.

Sea to summit? Wouldn’t that be 40 miles or more? Haleakalā was tough in a car.

There is a trail from Kaupo, 17.5 miles each way.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.
