If it doesn't matter I would guess an airplane

This has come up at least twice recently. Seems both conclusions were somewhere in the Sawatch like La Plata.

It seems like the summit of La Plata peak is in the optimal position on a clear day to view the most amount of 14ers. You might see more than 10 from the summit.
Be the best you that you can be.

Yeah I made a post about this recently, which in turn elicited responses about "Hey someone has posted about this before."

Bison peak. You can see pikes to the south, evans and bierstaut to the north, the entire mosquitoe range, most of the swatch range, and some of the sangres way to the south, on a clear day of course.

Using PeakFinder, I built a spreadsheet to figure out from which 14er the most other 14ers could be seen. Assuming PeakFinder (which admittedly has some incorrect elevations listed) is correct, the winner is Princeton, with a whopping 48 visible from the summit. Here is the top of the list:
1. Princeton - 48
2. Harvard - 47
3. Tie between Shavano & Antero - 46
4. Tie between Columbia & Tabeguache - 45
5. Belford - 43

You can also use caltopo (either 'view from here' or 'viewshed analysis') to verify peakfinder's accuracy. Sometimes it overestimates what you can see from different peaks.

I was working on a spreadsheet a while ago using both.. I'll have to see if I can dig that up. The peaks you listed do ring a bell of being way up there in terms of 14er visibility.

Thanks for looking into this!

I checked on Princeton, and if you use CalTopo, you actually get 49 -- Crestone Needle makes the cut...could it be that 25 foot tall minimum vantage point? I may have to go through this and corroborate the rest of them.

Now I want to know what the furthest visible point is from the top of a 14er... According to PeakFinder, from the top of Princeton, you can see 11er Greenie Peak in NM, which is 145mi away. Has anyone done this?

From Shavano I spotted San Antonio Mountain in New Mexico, which is apparently 138 miles distant. But there may be better examples.
