North Maroon. 19 years, 11 days from first to last. It was a great day. Up and down safely with one or two moments where the reality of a safe outcome was unclear.

Little Bear alone on a Wednesday in 2017. Third time was the charm for this one. The beer selection that day was as questionable as were many of the other choices I'd made up to that point along the way. The 14ers were such a great journey - met my wife hiking 14ers, met a solid group of hiking partners, and it was a great way to explore western Colorado. Ultimately they were a great warm up for the 13er list! \:D/

My finisher was The DeCaLiBron in winter. It was an enjoyable day but very anticlimactic.

It was a great milestone on a greater journey, as I was already committed to the Highest 100 and seriously considering all of the 13ers. I was glad to have the family along, I hiked from Crags and they drove.

My parents, sister and her then 10 year old son all were up there. In 1976 before my sister was even born, my parents and I were up there on the cog, I was 16 months old. Here is the 1976 and 2008 summit photos:

Lindsey was my finisher. Waited to descend the NW Ridge before busting out the Champagne. I had planned on saving Pikes for my finisher but I kept reading how boring and crowded the summit scene would be in the summer so I elected to climb Pikes as a winter training hike for Rainier.

I was solo on my 14er finisher, Pyramid. So no photo, just the benchmark.

On the other hand, I was with good friends on Jagged, my Centennial finisher.

Still have one to go! Hopefully in about a month I will be skiing off Star for my finisher.

Wilson Peak in 2018.
I repeated several peaks to help my wife catch up to me so we could finish together.
We both started in the San Juans on different peaks, so we wanted to finish in the San Juans.
Had nice picnic on the top.
