No excuse for this one, he knew exactly what he was doing. Jeez, with so many people, just rent out a private ranch, there are so many out there that give good options for hiking. Why the need to take over a national park trail. :roll:

people like this are the reason more and more places are going to permits, reservations, and other increased restrictions, or cutting off access altogether. even if 99% of people out on the trails are being responsible and respectful and following the rules, it's this 1% who ruin it for the rest of us. i'm headed to GC this October and i'd be pissed as hell if i had to wade through this group of morons when i got there.
