Any Texan 14er Finishers?

Post by billyg0atgruff »

It took 19 years, but I climbed 58/58 (Holy Cross) on 9/19/2021. I can't wait to hear the jeers... I realize this is an unfriendly forum for my kind. I've been hearing it in person and online and on the peaks and in the campgrounds for nearly 2 decades. It is really quite a shame, I always thought we were a rather friendly bunch. We are usually in a hurry, and don't know where we are going, but friendly never-the-less. Ready-set-flame!

I've had the pleasure of meeting really cool people from Texas on multiple 14er summits and elsewhere in CO. I'm from MD, so I guess us out-of-staters need to stick together ... ha!! Congrats on a huge accomplishment!! I know the logistics and acclimation issues involved from out of state too.. so cheers to you man!!

Yep, it sometimes takes a bit of planning and good luck. Not every trip is successful. Thanks!

This really is the reason for the post. I really am wondering if anybody knows of any 14er finishers that were living in Texas for each summit. I am sure there are quite a few transplanted Texans that moved to CO that have finished, or at least some anyway. Any Texans?

How do you know someone's from Texas? They tell you.

Congrats on your achievement.

Nah, I don't have to in person. My accent will tell you.

Thanks!
