Erik Tischner finishes the bicentennials

Post by RobLowe »

Tischner (Tisch) finished the bicentennials (200 highest peaks) on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 with summits of White Dome and Peak One (along with Hunchback, Peak Two, and Peak Three). He celebrated with a long drive out of hunchback pass, a large coke, and lots of Mexican food.

This is one heck of an accomplishment! Tisch swears he won’t be climbing much in the future (I highly doubt that to be the case).

The highlight for me getting to join Tisch on some of these adventures was our day doing Arrow, Vestal, Peak 6, and Jagged. The next day we forded the Animas and Tisch almost got swept away, throwing me his phone (in an apparent attempt to save his pocket-sized computer over himself).

It’s been real man. I hope you push on to the Tricentennials (is that a thing? Can I get a ruling on that from the crazy folks who are working on, or have completed, that list?)

Congratulations, Erik! That's a big accomplishment. Which peaks were your favorites on this journey?

Congrats Erik! Nice area and peaks to complete the journey!
The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker

Congrats, Erik! I enjoyed the few Bicents we hiked together. I'm a notorious loner, so it's not often that I get to share in someone's peakbagging journey. The Tricents are real and I have a feeling he will be completing that soon, it's hard to resist the list. I'm sure I will be seeing your name in many more summit registers. Best, Troy.
