Nice effort, Justin! What was your pack’s starting weight!? How many pieces of food did you bring to start with for an unsupported effort?

10.9lbs for everything except running shorts/shirts/socks + food. 8.6lbs of food (4500 cals). Mostly Scratch Superfuel, nut butters, protein bars and some dried fruit.

That's only 32 cal/oz, I think somethings off or you are eating a lot of rice cakes

"He knew in my heart of hearts that I wasn’t going to quit. But he gave me the opportunity to. He also told me, that he knew I would regret it if I quit when I started to feel better in 3 hours. Because so much of this is psychological, my body will do what my mind tells it to do. Andrew told me a few key things. He kept telling me to imagine myself when this is all over, ill be sitting talking to so many people who have been inspired. That I can make a huge impact in this community. He told me to focus on the mountain I am climbing and nothing else. I don’t focus on the next peak, or the finish or how hot its going to be at noon, I just focus on the task in front of me."
