Denail announced today that they are suspending all climbs for the 2020 season. I wonder if Rainier is next...

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they closed Rainier.

I just canceled my plans for a week of backcountry skiing in Alaska. I could probably get to Anchorage but who knows when I'd be able to come home. It sucks but what are you going to do?

I wouldn't be surprised if all National Parks get closed for the rest of 2020, and potentially 2021. I just got an August backcountry permit for Glacier NP, but being able to go is a long shot. We are going to be very risk adverse during this period. As soon as we have a couple cases in a public or private place, it will get shut down for a few months. Repeat after reopening. This won't stop until we have an effective vaccine sometime in 2021.
