Hikes near Urubamba, Peru

Post by mtnkub »

Any recommendation for hikes or other activities around Urubamba? (Other than Machu Picchu) Only a short trip, but still have 1.5 days without specific plans. Any favorite hike to uncrowded Inca sites? Any easy 5000m peak other than Rainbow Mountain? Thank you much!

We really enjoyed hiking around the archeological park above Pisac.
For uncrowded, Moray - apparently an Incan archeological experimental station.
Enjoy your time in the sacred valley!

We didn't have time, but we wanted to go to Choquequirao. You can probably do in 2 days if you are fit.
