Partner for Jagged - 7/1-7/4

Post by Fisching »

I'm looking to do a Wemi trip over the long holiday weekend, and I'm particularly looking at Jagged as one of my targets. Is anyone else looking to hit Jagged between 7/2-7/4 (Saturday - Monday)?

What else are you looking at, on top of Jagged? Are you looking to rope up or solo jagged?

I have a tentative plan but am amenable to changes depending on the possibility of linking up with others, specifically for Jagged. Right now, my plan is to hike into Chicago Basin Friday afternoon from Purgatory (because I hate myself - or I'm cheap... Or both). Saturday would be to climb Jupiter, then cross over Twin Thumbs pass and camp in the Noname Creek Basin. Sunday would be to climb Jagged, then return to camp in Noname or move it to Ruby Basin (time and/or weather dependent). Monday would be to summit Turret and Pidgeon then hike out via Purgatory Creek. Again, I'm willing to move pieces around.

I'm essentially on a Centennial mission this trip as I'm currently sitting at #93.

I'll send you a PM in case you want to discuss more.

Bumping this in case anyone has had plans development as the weather forecast becomes clearer.
(Weather is essentially what you would expect during the monsoon period in the SJs - small chance of anything in the morning, rain/storms in the PM.)
