Dallas Peak
Trying Dallas tomorrow. Stan’s cut or no Stan’s cut? I like the 1.5 miles saved but worried about getting through the waterfall in the dark. Any thoughts?
If you aren’t thirsty, you brought too much water.
If you aren’t hungry, you brought too much food.
If you aren’t scared, you brought too much gear.
If you made it to the top, it was too easy anyway.

Nice! Now you have a great reason for returning on a date amenable to a daylight start, so you can experience the mysteries of the upper Mill Creek Basin
Sorry, I meant to reply sooner that the short cut is much easier to locate on the way down ...

Re: Dallas Peak
Sorry I didn't see this post earlier, but just adding my two cents.
I tried to find the shortcut on descent a while back, got cliffed out by not crossing the creek to the east side soon enough, and basically added 2 hours and an additional 600 vertical feet to my day.
