That is one reason I don't keep any as pets.

Hah! Good one. But at least he can run, and even walk quickly down a ramp.

And, I'm sorry for being mean. To the dogs I mentioned.

But based on a deep reading of the Bible, I have to believe that what it says about God, man, sin, heaven and hell is true. Again I cannot objectively "prove" any of those things; there is always an element of faith for everyone regardless of what we believe.

Sean Nunn
Sean, not denigrating anyone's belief, I'm glad you're happy with what you believe. But, I'm always very intrigued by someone who doesn't find religion at odds with science. Some of your comments in this thread lead me to believe you fit that category and are eager to have the discussion, so I'll play along.

It seems like you believe the creation story, right? Do you believe it literally? (i.e. 7 days, sun shows up on day 4, etc.)
Do you believe Hell is inside the Earth as described in the Bible?
How old do you think the Earth is?
How do you reconcile fossil records with the history described in the book?

I have real vague recollection that years ago somebody's post wishing people a "Merry Christmas" was removed from the forum because, of course, that type of thing offends people. Am I mistaken?

I thought he was just trolling the believers. And non-believers.
I think it worked.

One has a popular book, lists, and arbitrary ‘rules’ that people keep bickering about.

The other is a 14er climber.

One makes you get up early Sunday morning, worship at the alter, and suffer for your sins.

The other one is God.

Wait, seriously? 6 pages in and the underlying joke, as I interpreted it, has not been realized....

You dont climb 14ers, you hike them (ie God knows you don't climb them, but that you hike them)

^The nerve, what a f**kin elitist.

Not to mention the ability to lift a glass of water with a single hand.
