La Plata SW ridge

Post by Barnold41 »

I didn't see anything in the route description, but is this accessible this time of year, and has anyone been up there?

Also, is there considerable avy danger?

The road to that trailhead is closed this time of year.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

As ScottP said, the road isn't plowed. Per the latest trip reports you can get at least as high as Missouri Gulch, but that could still add 12+ miles RT.
