Because I want.....

Does size matter? You know, like 14er, a 13er, 12er....
Season?
Class?

I’d say no wind, not cold and privacy.

More importantly, what’s required for proof? There’s gotta be some sort of icicle icon for winter finishers that could be used? Pretty sure a tent is cheating. However, if it’s not then I guess I’m 1/5X for 14ers.

HIGHLY divisive topic! Since the late 90's there has been a strong partisan line regarding inclusion of bj's.

So a trailhead which is at treeline doesn't count?

This raises a lot of questions:

Does it only count on the exact summit?
Is a partner required?
What about hiring a "guide"?
Can you use fixed ropes?

And, most importantly, does an elite member of "The Community" have to decide: Is it in?

I’ve always wondered if that counted for the mile high club. Is there a consensus on that?
