Congratulations Jace. Hope you had as much fun on Handies' summit as I did when I finished there. Good luck with whatever is next...!

Congrats, Jace! Wish I could have been there! =D>
Thanks, EM, for the post! Wish you could have been there too, but I loved the photo of you wearing your Hawaiian so you could be there in spirit on the summit day.

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words and kudos! This community is awesome.

I climbed my first 14er at 8 years old and this journey has taken me just over 20 years (on-and-off) to complete. As those of you who have finished can attest, I am feeling a strange mix of emotions sitting back at my desk today. Proud, relieved, nostalgic, and a bit sad are the first ones that come to mind. Part of me feels melancholy about the closing of this chapter, but the other part of me knows that I'm just getting started.

I want to thank my wife, Taylor, for her relentless support of my goal (and for accompanying me on so many of the peaks). I'm grateful that my dad introduced me to the magic of the 14ers at such a young age, and thankful for all the amazing friends/climbing partners I've met along the way (Stiffler_from_Denver, Exiled Michigander, BCN Patrick, Collin, and more). Lastly, thank you to Bill Middlebrook and this community for the invaluable resources you provide.

In terms of what's next, I will likely start chipping away at the Centennial 13ers with the same crew who I've been climbing 14ers with. Looking forward to less crowds and trailside poop. If my wife decides she would like to finish the 14ers, helping her achieve that goal will become my priority. Additionally, I have my eye on a couple other big peaks in the lower 48. Essentially just looking to continue spending time outside standing on top of tall things with the people I love. See you out there!
