How long have you waited to use that line? ;)

I don't mind time change. I work outside all day every day, and I'm usually on the jobsite 10+ hours a day, so this time of year I get to go home earlier. My crew doesn't like that, in fact they suggested to me we start earlier now...like 6:30am.
Me? No.
I'm salary, they're hourly, so I get their reasoning.

Could pull a China and just set the entire country to one time zone, Eastern Daylight time. Three hours ahead.

Daylight savings time was invented so the union army could practice fighting in the dark.

You know what the Indian chief said to his tribe after government workers tried to explain DST? Leave it to the US government to take 20% off the bottom of your blanket, add it to the top, and then tell you the blanket is longer.

Classic.

This is probably an amusing thread for folks that live in Anchorage.

Alaskans find many things on this forum amusing... like how much attention is paid to climbing little 14,000' hills

My dog still thinks we're on daylight savings time. I'm getting reminders 2 hours before dinner time vs. the usual one hour.

After living in a valley in northern England where the sun would rise at 0900 and set at 2pm, I'll take what I can get.

That said, I think the extra hours of darkness during the early evening cost a lot more energy than the lights on in the early morning, so if you're a climate change/energy activist, please get then to stop the madness.

Great point. Peak hours and where electricity costs the most is between 2pm - 7pm.
