Albeit non-standard, but traversing Princeton S->N is such a great day. You could make it a loop and stretch that out to a two or three day backpack, with an optional visit to the hot springs!

Pikes. Beautiful lower trail on Crags, but didn't enjoy the city on top. Beautiful mountain and area otherwise, though.

Sounds like I need to get after Bross, I moved to Colorado last December and Pike's and Princeton are the only 2 14ers I did in 2021.

If this is truly a Colorado based group, isn't it logical that I place my hate onto California and not Colorado?

Or Aliens, why don't you hate Aliens? Have you noticed that in original movie they are on a very distant planet, but in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem they made it all the way to Crested Butte, bringing their anchor eggs and slime.

Did Harvard to Columbia in 2011, and Columbia was awful coming down. Is it any better? I hated it more than Bross.

The one very cool thing (to me) coming down Columbia is viewing that huge run out path and impact area of a past avy or water event (probably avy) that fanned out and knocked down a bunch of trees at the bottom. I love that kind of geomorphic evidence. Anyone else notice that while hiking Columbia standard route?summitrunner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:11 am Did Harvard to Columbia in 2011, and Columbia was awful coming down. Is it any better? I camped at the end of the avy runoff. Snowclimbs are the best!greenonion wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:17 amThe one very cool thing (to me) coming down Columbia is viewing that huge run out path and impact area of a past avy or water event (probably avy) that fanned out and knocked down a bunch of trees at the bottom. yes- but there is still about 700-800' of what i would lovingly refer to as "character building" above the newly constructed CFI route.summitrunner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:11 am Did Harvard to Columbia in 2011, and Columbia was awful coming down. Is it any better? I hated it more than Bross.
