Most bestest and least bestest Colorado 12er
What is your favorite 12er and why?
What is your least favorite 12er and the reason for that?
My favorite is probably Julian in RMNP because it's really hard to get to, has a sporty scramble to get there, and it was my Larimer County finisher before LiDAR came around.
I think my least favorite is Castles East, the new kid on the block, because it has dashed my hopes and dreams of world domination.
Also, feel free to rank ALL the 12ers in order of difficulty.
Discuss!

Re: Most bestest and least bestest Colorado 12er
A few bestests come to mind:
-Probably my fav is Hayden Spire. I'm at the point in my "career" where I like a climb based more on the team/partner than the climb itself. Great bunch of guys. Easy climb but man, intimidating at first glance.
-Turret Ridge: Harder than Hayden, but a thought provoking climb. Crux was pretty sporty due to low temps (30's/40's?) & frozen fingers. The traverse near the end was super easy but exposed and thus so, so much fun. Memorable for sure.
-McReynolds Peak was fun. Short, but a memorable day (passing a wolf pen in the woods, huge fish in a private lake, etc).
-Least: Pt. 12,500 was pretty...meh. Nothing really special IMO.

I'm a big fan of Peak One. Fantastic views of the Dillon Reservoir and the Gore Range!

Uneva is my go-to summer run, so I'm sort of partial to it. Easy access and a quick/painless way to get into the alpine for some awesome views into the entire Gore. I also love New York since no one really goes up there.

I can't vouch for any other category but Grayback is certainly the easiest.

Bison in LCW is a real gem- love the rock formations at the top. also a really big fan of Cross Mtn in the Sawatch- the view of Middle Mountain B, Pt 13,462 A, Browns, and Huron is really cool. but Red Cone- great colors from the Webster saddle and only saw a handful of vehicles on the first day of autumn in 2018.
i haven't done a 12er i didn't enjoy yet so... TBD, i guess

Of the ones I have done, Devils Thumb is my favorite 12er even though it isn't ranked. Bison might be my favorite ranked one. Zirkel is a good one too.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

My favorite 9’er is the Zugspitze 9,718’ with 5,728’ of prominence.
I should be on a mountain

I haven't done many CO 12ers, but my favorite so far is probably Courthouse. It's so improbable that there's a trail up the thing, and the views of the surrounding Cimarrons are spectacular, especially during leaf-peeping season.
Re: Most bestest and least bestest Colorado 12er
Bestest: Petit Grepon. I think it's ranked, Peakbagger gives it 300' of prominence.
Least Bestest: I don't know, probably a rock on the side of Cameron.
