I assume you're still sleeping but congratulations Dan! Incredible journey to follow. I went to Justiner's presentation about the centennials adventure a few years ago so please let us know if you'll be giving a presentation about the planning and execution of all of this. Fascinating and super human stuff!

Re: Self Supported 14er Record Attempt
Finally getting to read through the hundreds of posts in this thread.. Sorry it's taking so long! But wow! Thanks for following along everyone, it's humbling to know so many people were tracking to be record.
In regards to GPS anomalies... They were very frustrating!
-There was commonly more than 100 ft of difference between my GPS devices. Sometimes 500 ft of difference.
- My gps watch and phone were basically useless during the clouds on Eolus and Sunlight. My watch read 13,900 on Elbert's summit.
- Phone with Garmin Earthmate app was the most consistently accurate.
- I had scouted most of the elevation start points in advance and made careful surety that they were below the Colorado rule requirements.
- Garmin seemed to have a lot of problems during the 14 days and I was not impressed. My 9 year old Suunto was wayyy more accurate, but the battery is worn out so I couldn't use it. I'd definitely think twice before buying a Garmin watch for the mountains. Coros or Suunto are probably better imo.

And at a minimum Garmin should have some vertical and horizontal threshold algorithms along with some real-time elevation lookups when necessary. They can do better. Geez
