Current Sawtooth Conditions?

Post by ColoNativeGal »

I'm wondering if anyone has any current conditions info (i.e. how much snow) is on the Sawtooth ridge line? Looking at doing it tomorrow, but wanted to assess conditions and risks.

Also if anyone has done it with snow on it, do you have any suggestions on areas to look out for with snow/ice versus dry rock?

Appreciate any info and/or pictures anyone could provide.

Thanks so much!

I live up high in Evergreen and I have a great close-up of Evans from my front porch. All of the new snow from yesterday is gone. The Sawtooth can be shaded a bit but if you time it to start the traverse after the sun has been up for an hour or so you should be good to go.

Awesome, that is super helpful. Hopefully it stays dry today. Please let me know if anything changes later afternoon/evening.
Thanks again!
