Found skis on Chicago Peak

Post by Boggy B »

We found a pair of skis this morning in the east gully of Chicago Peak above the Camp Bird mine. They were about 40' apart on a pile of avy debris. Skins on suggests an accident. I didn't hear of any fatalities in that area this winter so hopefully it was just a yard sale.

Skis look to be new this season: https://www.backcountry.com/k2-mindbend ... NECOL-S186#

Posting here because I'm hoping someone in the CO BC community knows who they belong to, and I'm not a member of the FB group(s). We carried them out but I have further details on where they were located.

Yikes, that’s a bit disconcerting.

Hi,
Those are my skis! I live up there and was waiting till they melted out after I got slid off Chicago this year, but I guess they did already! please call me asap! Feeling sad that I missed getting them myself but I will be grateful to have them back!
