Witness reports suggest he fell from near Pervertical Sanctuary. Those are likely more reliable than the news articles.

Yeah, the thread on MP suggests he was under the Diamond, not Kieners. A lone comment about objective danger makes me wonder about causation. But of most importance, a real shame, sorry to read about this. RIP.

I'm not familiar with Diamond. Any links to the route?

Ahhh, that explains why I'm not familiar with it at all. Way too technical for me, currently!

The name Broadway is contradictory to what it is. It’s narrow and extremely exposed with some sketchy areas you have to maneuver around. There was significant pucker factory the day I was on it.
Broadway is about as big as it gets for ledges on climbing routes, and when dry is class 1/2. However, there's The Broadway Steparound that is totally exposed to the Lower East Face and requires a bouldering move to an out-of-sight handhold.

Or the Yellow Wall, Pervertical Sanctuary, Curving Vine, D7, Casual Route a la Donahue and Caldwell.

Sounds like Pervertical per eye witness accounts. I was speculating that it was likely the easiest of them.
