Sherman Parking Question

Post by mgl45 »

Does anyone have a feel for whether parking availability at the trailhead gate is likely to be an issue for a 5:30am-ish start on a weekday?

Thanks!

You should be fine at 5:30 AM on a weekday.

I did my hike on Friday morning, arrived at trailhead around 5:15am, only one other car there. As I was getting ready to hike, It didn't take long and lots of cars arrived, basically just after it started to get light.

I bet most people, understandably, didn't want to drive the worst part of the road in the dark! I did it but had just scouted the road a few days before.
