Massive Trailhead Access

Post by Flips »

Can anyone tell me what the condition of the road to the Mt Massive Trailhead is since the snow early this week?

Also, any knowledge of snow levels at 10K to 11K on the East Slopes route, in-particular on the Colorado Trail.

I'm down near Poncha Springs (been boondocking on the BLM land near the Shavano/Tabeguache trailhead) and the roads here are melted out. I know conditions are likely at least a little bit different more north towards Massive but around here the roads, both dirt and paved, are melted. There will be mud regardless of where you go.
