Can anyone confirm the closure is still happening? Planning to drive through there and Google Maps shows no delay.

Re: PSA Highway 50 Gunnison to Montrose roadwork closures
IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE TRAVELING THIS ROUTE:
Don't plan on those one way traffic openings as scheduled. I tried to go Montrose to Gunnison last Thursday and got to the closed area at 1:00. The official open for one way traffic is 12:30 - 1:30. I was turned around with the simple explanation, only a "limited number of vehicles" are let through during the window. So if you are trying to get through on the short windows, get there early and line up!
And aside from adding 90 miles to the trip, the detour around the north rim of the black canyon is dangerous. Big tractor trailer trucks come screaming around the sharp curves and I had two near head on collisions and also had a rock break my windshield while on the 2 hour detour.
