Jones Pass Road

Post by thatguy »

Hello,

Hoping to get some info on how rough Jones Pass Road is from US 40. I don't need to go over it, just drive up some to set up a camp around 11k for access to the Continental Divide trail. I have a stock 4x4 Tacoma for what it's worth.

Thanks,
Dave

Super easy to the parking area at ~10,850 at Big Meadow, you could probably get a honda civic up there with some gusto. After that, I think that it is plenty easy for a Tacoma to get all the way up to the pass, but I haven't driven it myself
I thought, I taught, I wrought

You'll be fine. A Tacoma could absolutely make it plenty high on that road. We even saw some crossovers at the top of Jones Pass.
